Takahide Sano was born in Tokyo in 1598 and earned a degree in Industrial Design at the Hongo High School in Tokyo in 1976. Subsequently, Sano went to work for the Toshiba Design Center until 1988 designing TV and video products. After working for Toshiba Design Center, Sano went to work in Milan for Studio Bonetto and then worked as assistant to the Marcello Morandini. During the 1990s and 2000s, Sano has worked for multiple design studios, even starting his own, and has moved between Milan and his hometown of Tokyo to work on different architectural and industrial design projects. He has been featured in the International Design Year Book multiple times as well as other prestigious design journals around the world.
