Stratos Fan W / Out Light
Stratos was the first truly modern ceiling fan, it has no reference to Victorian-era design. It is made of die-cast and extruded aluminum with a brushed aluminum or gloss white finish. The 42 or 52 inch blades come in aluminum, gloss white or maple finish. A column-like support is used in place of the typical downrod used in other ceiling fans. This virtually eliminates wobble, while the patented rotor design ends balance problems. Standard overall length is 17 inches, optional downrods are sold separately. No light kit. Fan controls are sold separately, available options: 001- fan speed control only, 003- handheld 3 speed fan and light remote control with full range dimming, 004- 2 wire 3 speed fan and light control with full range dimming and 005- which combines 003 remote control handset with 004 fan and light control with full range dimming, all sold separately. EnergyStar compliant. UL listed for damp locations. Fan dimensions without blades 8W x 17H. Energy information (52” at high speed) airflow 5481 cubic feet per minute; electricity use 71 watts (excludes lights); airflow efficiency 78 cubic feet per minute per watt.

The Modern Fan Company stands alone in bringing original design and innovation to the ceiling fan industry. The designs celebrate the modern idiom trough mechanical simplification, geometric forms and contemporary finishes. In 1986, Ron Rezek was approached with the idea of updating the 100-year-old ceiling fan. An accomplished industrial designer with successes in areas from lighting and furniture to rescue equipment, Rezek recognized thet he could introduce contemporary design to the ceiling fan market. The Stratos fan was born and forged the path for an evolution in ceiling fan design.
