About Bertjan Pot
An artist and designer with an interest in textiles, Bertjan Pot graduated in 1998 from the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), department Man and Identity. In this department - with head of department Ulf Moritz - Pot discovered his fascination for textiles, producing one of his first works: Knitted Lamp. From there, he participated in a number of exhibitions including A Fine Mess (Netherlands, 2004), Post Fossil (Tokyo, 2010), Masks (Australia, 2012) and beyond. His works are featured in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam and the MoMa in New York.
A fascination for techniques, structures, patterns and colors lead him to interior product design, collaborating with brands like Moooi, Nike, Cassina, Goods and dozens more. Over the years, Bertjan won several awards for outstanding design, and eventually established Studio Bertjan Pot where he continues to experiment with cutting edge technology and innovative textiles. His collections for Moooi - Heracleum, Random, Non Random and Prop - have become some of the most lauded fixtures of the 21st century.
